Release Baseball 16U Pleska's athletes are some of the best all-around and positional baseball players in the greater Cleveland and Youngstown Ohio areas.

Comprised of players who formed the backbone of two separate teams (Ohio Steel and Ohio Glaciers), our roots make us one of the most widely respected teams in the Cleveland-Youngstown-Pittsburgh corridor and across Ohio.  Season after season (and for some all year-round), our players have practiced tirelessly on their own, with their high schools and with their summer teams to become the strongest and most well-rounded players among their peers.  Yet as good as they are, their commitment to working even harder to be the best is unwavering.

During the weekend of June 4th-6th, the team rose to the challenge to earn a spot in the championship game.  In the championship, down by a score of 4 to 1 after 5 innings we rallied to win it all.  The final score was 6-5 in 8 innings with Release Baseball Pleska coming out on top against the Lake Erie Tritons 2023 Scout team.

During the weekend of July 1st-4th, after a tough 3-0 loss in pool play to a top team from Michigan called Arsenal Baseball, the team battled back and won its pool.  Having earned the right to compete in the 4-team championship bracket, we vanquished our opponents both in the semi-final and championship games to become the victors.

Team Philosophy

Our commitment to baseball is simple.  We strive to be the best.  To accomplish that, every player on our team is core to our approach:

1.  develop and refine all skilled aspects of the game

2.  demand attention, effort and determination

3.  foster teamwork across players and coaches

4.  build character and behaviors that lead to success

To be the best, we take on the best teams around.  The respect our players have gained both on and off the field speaks for itself.  Through focused hard work, both our player and team successes over the last 6+ seasons have been earned.  A history of our successes can be found here:  Accomplishments
